Landscape Architect Project Manager

WHY WORK AT K&W? YOU’LL NEVER MANAGE A BORING PROJECT AGAIN.

If your idea of a great time is solving complex site challenges, nerding out over stormwater management, and watching a project go from dirt to done—welcome home!

YOU’LL WORK WITH BIG PICTURE FOLKS AND GEEKS (BUT THE COOL KIND).

Our team is a mix of engineers, landscape architects, and planners who treat grading plans like puzzle challenges and stormwater models like art. We take our work seriously—but never ourselves. Expect inside jokes, project wins, and heated annual engineering competitions.

HYBRID FLEXIBILITY, BUT YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS THE OFFICE.

Yes, you can work from home. But our HQ is a 1920s mansion with riverfront views, and our team is actually fun to be around—so you’ll probably want to show up.

 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Juggling flaming torches—or in normal terms, managing multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets like a pro.
  • Cracking the land development code—from site layouts and grading to stormwater, utilities, and permitting.
  • Keeping clients happy – You’ll be the go-to problem solver, making sure projects stay on track and relationships stay strong.
  • You’ll manage the design of places you can drive your family past and say “I designed that” like school campuses, hospitals, athletic facilities, amusement parks and government buildings.
  • Mentoring junior staff—because someone once taught you how to avoid major screw-ups, and now it’s your turn.
  • Calling out bad ideas – before they make it to a client or to construction.

 WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 5-8 years of experience running land development projects like a boss.
  • A BS in Landscape Architecture (preferred) or Civil Engineering.
  • Sharp communication skills—because clients need answers, not fluff.
  • The ability to multitask under pressure without breaking a sweat (or the budget).
  • A team-first mindset—we solve problems together.

 THE WORK SETUP:

  • Hybrid: In-office at least 2 days a week (Tues-Thurs recommended), with the rest remote.
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9-hour shifts. Fridays? We’re out by NOON!
  • Office culture: Think happy hours, office dogs, inside jokes, and lunch-hour picnics on waterfront decks.

BENEFITS:

  • 401(k) matching
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and short / long-term disability insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Year-end performance bonus
  • Flexible schedule

If you want to lead challenging, rewarding projects with a team that actually enjoys what they do, send your resume and cover letter to [email protected].

Landscape Architect Designer

WHY WORK AT K&W? BECAUSE WE DON’T DO BORING – EVER.

If you see a blank site and instantly start sketching ideas in your head—welcome home!

WORK WITH BIG PICTURE THINKERS AND DETAIL OBSESSIVES (IN A GOOD WAY).

Our team is a mix of engineers, landscape architects, and planners who believe grading plans should be practical, beautiful, and maybe even frame-worthy. We take our work seriously—but not ourselves. Expect design debates, sketching sessions, and the occasional throwdown over the best shade tree. (Spoiler: there’s no wrong answer, but we’ll argue anyway.)

HYBRID FLEXIBILITY, BUT YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS THE OFFICE.

Sure, you can work from home. But our HQ is a 1920s mansion with riverfront views, and our team’s really fun to be around—so odds are you’ll want to show up.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Designing sites that truly work—from grading and layouts to stormwater and circulation.
  • Turning ideas into visuals—graphics, SketchUp, and presentations that get clients excited.
  • Growing your career—learning the ropes of project management so you can run the show someday.
  • You’ll design places you can drive your family past and say “I designed that” like school campuses, hospitals, athletic facilities, amusement parks and government buildings.
  • Problem-solving on the fly—because no site ever sticks to the plan.
  • Collaborating with engineers and planners to make great designs even better.

 WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

  • 5+ years of experience designing land development projects
  • Graphic skills (SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)—a plus, but not a dealbreaker.
  • Experienced in AutoCAD and Civil3D? Bonus points.
  • Licensure? Not required. Talent? Definitely required.
  • A team-first mindset—because the best projects come from great collaboration.

 THE WORK SETUP:

  • Hybrid: In-office at least 2 days a week (Tues-Thurs recommended), with the rest remote.
  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 9-hour shifts. Fridays? We’re out by NOON!
  • Office vibe: Professional but fun. The coffee’s strong, the snacks are solid, and there’s usually a dog or two hanging out

 BENEFITS:

  • 401(k) matching
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and short/long-term disability insurance
  • Paid time off
  • Paid holidays
  • Year-end performance bonus
  • Flexible schedule
