Administrative Assistant
WHY SHOULD YOU WORK AT K&W? ESCAPE THE BORING HOME OFFICE.
Some days, you’ll be working from home in your sweats. Other days, you’ll be in our beautiful historic mansion, making sure everything runs smoothly. Best of all, you’ll never have the same day twice.
KEEP THE TEAM (AND THE OFFICE) RUNNING LIKE CLOCKWORK.
Think of this role as part air-traffic controller, part office magician. You’ll handle everything from greeting guests to managing supplies, coordinating meetings, and getting our project submissions out the door—on time and looking their best.
JOIN A TEAM THAT ACTUALLY HAS FUN.
We work hard, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Office dogs, happy hours, and summer picnics on waterfront decks? Check, check, and check.
What You’ll Be doing:
- Coordinating assorted office tasks: Keeping projects, documents, bookings, and schedules in order. Almost like herding cats.
- Entering data accurately into our project management system (no typos, please).
- Prepping, binding, and submitting reports—sometimes by hand delivery.
- Providing top-notch admin support, including word processing, correspondence, and document prep.
- Managing supplies.
- Scheduling meetings, coordinating office events, and wrangling everyone into the room on time.
- Answering calls, sorting mail, and making sure guests feel welcome.
- Occasionally lifting and delivering large, paper submissions.
What We Need From You:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you’ll be the first point of contact for many).
- Attention to detail – because the small stuff matters.
- Experience juggling multiple tasks without dropping the ball.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, web browsers, and resource enterprise software (bonus points for Deltek Ajera).
- A professional yet flexible, team-first attitude.
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least one year of admin experience.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (because some submissions need a road trip).
The Work Set-up:
- Hybrid: In-office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with Mondays and Fridays typically remote.
- Monday–Thursday: 9-hour shifts. Fridays? We’re out by noon.
- Office vibe: Professional but fun. Expect a mix of structure and spontaneity.
Benefits:
- 401(k) matching
- Medical, dental, vision, life, and short / long-term disability insurance
- Paid time off
- Paid holidays
- Year-end performance bonus
- Flexible schedule
