Administrative Assistant

K&W is looking for a full-time administrative assistant with excellent verbal, written and organizational skills to join their team in Harrisburg, PA. The ideal candidate has proven experience, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage a variety of clerical tasks.

An administrative assistant at K&W welcomes guests, answers and directs incoming calls, distributes mail, manages supplies, and provides administrative support to staff. Independent judgement is required to plan, prioritize and organize different tasks throughout each day.

Essential Duties

  • Greet / assist clients
  • Answer / direct phone calls to staff using a multi-line system
  • Sort / distribute mail / shipments, prepare outgoing mail
  • Finalize / bind / scan reports, compile submissions, ensure submissions are delivered (in-person or via mail) on time
  • Provide administrative support to staff as required; word processing, documentation and correspondence preparation, submissions, etc.
  • Assists with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating
  • Monitor / order office supplies monthly
  • Monitor office equipment, schedule service as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate office meetings and events
  • Function as a backup for other administrative professionals within the group and support teaming activities


  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent with one year of administrative experience
  • Preferred: Associate Degree or one year experience in an office setting
  • US Citizen
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Written and verbal communication skills, in both internal and client-facing settings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures

Work Environment:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

  • This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Must be able to walk up two flights of stairs.

Professional Land Surveyor

Extensive experience required in Land Survey and survey fieldwork. Field experience shall consist of supervising personnel and operations on all types of field survey projects, including boundary and topographic surveys, transportation surveys, construction surveys and stakeout, utilizing conventional surveying instruments and GPS equipment. Office experience shall include property and record research, data processing, office calculations and preparations for fieldwork. CAD experience is beneficial. Qualified candidates will possess excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills and must be able to meet project field schedules and budgets.


Entry Level Civil Engineers

K&W Engineers and Consultants, a site design and civil engineering consulting firm, is seeking entry level candidates for work in the area of land development for sustainable site design, including storm water management, erosion control, and regulatory permitting. Qualified candidates shall possess a degree in civil engineering or similar field. Consideration will be given to both entry level; and candidates with 2 – 3 years of practical working experience.

CAD Technicians / Designers

K&W is seeking qualified CAD Technicians / Designers with 2-5 years experience in AutoCAD drafting and design for site design and civil engineering projects.  Candidate shall possess:

  • Working knowledge of boundary and topographic surveys, site layout, utility and roadway layout and profiling, grading and earthwork calculations, and erosion control plans.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3d and/or Land Development Desktop software.
  • Knowledge and experience in IntelliSOLVE Hydraflow Storm Sewer and Hydrographs software a plus.
  • Candidates must also exhibit the ability to adhere to established CAD standards.
